Grow your own microgreen salad at home with our Microgreen Grow Kits!

These kits make it easy to grow microgreens from the comfort of your own home so you can enjoy fresh, nutritious greens on demand!

Containing everything you need for a month of micorgeens (four different crops), inside the kits you'll receive:

  • Four packets of microgreen seeds (broccoli, pea, radish and sunflower) which are the exact same seeds I use on the farm so you can be assured of their quality and that they will actually grow!
  • Enough peat-free compost for four plantings
  • A glass spray bottle to make watering a breeze
  • Two sets of growing trays (these are the "windowsill" version of the ones I use on the farm, the perfect size for your packets of seeds and the same excellent quality that I use everyday in my grow room!)
  • Full instructions detailing every step so you know exactly what to do
  • Email support of you're unsure of a step or something doesn't go quite as you expected!

Growing your own microgreens is actually really easy, so long as you have good seeds and the right kit. That's why I created these kits because there are too many on the market that allow you to try growing once or twice but the trays and other equipment just won't hold up to long term use. Or, who aren't growing the seeds themselves so they don't know how those exact varieties and batches behave.

I wanted to create a kit that you could rely on to provide you with delicious microgreens, that's fun and easy to use and won't let down when you get the growing bug!

Each seed packet is enough to fill one tray and, to give you an idea on how much you will harvest, this will give you enough of a crop for two plain microgreen salads, or multiple handfuls that you can add to sandwiches, wraps, salads, dinners and many other meals throughout the week!

Once harvested the microgreens will last for approximately a week in a sealed container in the fridge.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to send me an email hello@coadmicrofarm.co.uk and I would be happy to answer any queries you might have!

Are microgreens healthier than normal lettuce or salad?

While there isn’t a huge amount of research on this yet, the research so far seems to suggest yes!

Compared to mature plants microgreens seem to have higher levels of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants (source one and two.)

Which is good news for us microgreen lovers, or those looking to make their salads even healthier!

How do I use microgreens?

In any place you would normally use lettuce or other green salad!

They work great as a salad base all on their own, no need to add lettuce if you don't want to.

They can be combined with lettuce and other salad items to make a varied salad mix.

Or they can be used as a garnish anywhere you like.

Add them to your sandwiches, sprinkle on pasta and mix them into buddha bowls!

Or eat them all on their own like a wee rabbit!

What do microgreens taste like and will I like them?

I'm pretty biased but I think microgreens are super tasty.

They're like a cross between your favourite salad leaf and the plant they come from.

So pea shoots, for example, are like a mild leaf version of a pea.

While sunflower microgreens have a more nutty flavour!

Generally I find that people who like a salad LOVE microgreens!
